What are payment gateway fees?

For using their service, most gateways do not have a subscription plan or a one-time fee. Instead, they charge fees on every transaction. Most payment gateways charge 1% to 3% of the transaction amount or a combination of a percentage and a set amount such as 2.9% + 0.50 cents on every transaction.

What is Fee Relief?

Fee Relief is a feature offered by Charitable that lets you ask donors to cover the transaction fee applied by the payment gateway. That way, you get to keep the full amount of their donation and maximize the amount you raise.
