At Charitable, we are working hard to be the best donation plugin that’s both easy to use and powerful for building campaigns and accepting donations in WordPress. That’s why we’re excited to announce the new updates to Charitable!

Getting Started Page

New users will now see a streamlined setup page upon their first install of Charitable. This page allows them to quickly add a new campaign, watch an introductory video, and connect to Stripe, our recommended default payment gateway. Our goal is to get users up and running as quickly as possible.

To ensure the majority of users can quickly launch campaigns that work, upon first install, Charitable now automatically enables test mode for payment gateways with Stripe enabled.

This is also the first time you’ll see a new video about Charitable, and we hope to provide additional videos on getting started with Charitable soon.

Guided Tour of Visual Campaign Builder

New users will be greeted by a visual tour when they open the new campaign builder, helping them quickly learn the steps to create their first campaign.

We’ve also added some additional links to documentation in key places in the plugin in case you have a question or want to learn more about a feature.

Other Updates

• In the visual campaign builder, the Progress Bar block now shows a currency symbol when amounts are shown. We have also added a filter for further customization.
• In the visual campaign backend, we have made some visual updates to better reflect the site’s live currency settings.
