If you would like to translate Charitable into your language, there are several ways you can do so.
translate.wordpress.org
You can give back to the Charitable project by contributing your translations at translate.wordpress.org.
Once a translation has reached 100% translations in the Development / Stable columns, it automatically becomes available to anyone using Charitable in that language.
Contributing
- Log into your WordPress.org account.
- Click on the Development cell for the language you are translating.
- There are serveral ways you can filter/sort the list of translateable text, but one easy way to get started is to click on the Untranslated link.
- To translate a particular piece of text, double-click on the row and add your translation.
When you add translations, by default they will go into the Waiting list, where they can be approved by a translation editor.
Becoming a Translation Editor
If you are interested in becoming a translation editor for Charitable in your language, that’s possible too! As a translation editor, you can help guide the translation of Charitable into your language. You will be able to approve/reject suggested translations and contribute your own without requiring approval. You can also write translations using a program like Poedit (see below) and then upload the translations, which can be a faster way of completing the translation.
If you are interested, please get in touch with us. You will need to provide us with your WordPress.org username.
